Lions Youth Club Adoption Agreements
Burgess Hill District Lions Club has entered into formal adoption agreements with three local Youth Groups. Each agreement will be reviewed on a 12-month rolling basis to ensure that each partnership continues to bring benefit to each party.
The partnership is aimed at assisting the Youth Groups in a number of ways involving both service and finance. The Lions Club helps to reinforce and expand the Youth Group's activities using the experience that our members have in many different areas.
A representative of Burgess Hill District Lions Club sits on the committee of the Youth Group and acts as a conduit between the two organisations. Under the terms of the partnership BHDLC agree to organise at least one fund raising event each year in conjunction with the Youth Group and each Youth Group agrees to work with Burgess Hill District Lions Club in jointly promoting the benefits of the "Adopt a Youth Club" scheme.
By entering into a formal agreement there is a commitment on both sides to work together and for young people to benefit as a result.
Currently, Burgess Hill District Lions Club has adopted Burgess Hill Youth, Respect Youth Club and Burgess Hill Marching Youth.
