About Us
The Burgess Hill District Lions Club has a rich history of community service dating back to its founding in 1955. Our mission is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding. We are committed to addressing the unique challenges of our local community through various initiatives and programs.
Our Mission
At the heart of the Burgess Hill District Lions Club is a commitment to serving the local community with integrity and compassion. Our mission is to support local youth programmes and world wide disaster relief.
We focus on key areas such as health, education, and environmental sustainability, ensuring our efforts have a lasting impact.
Current initiatives include fundraising for local schools, youth groups and many other local causes. The Book Den generates the majority of our funds. Together, we strive to create a better, more inclusive community.

Burgess Hill District Lions 70th Charter Anniversary Celebration

Lion President Christine Muschamp hopes that you, your family and your friends will be able to join her in celebrating the Club’s 70th Charter Anniversary on the evening of Saturday, 10th May 2025, at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Langley Drive, Langley Green, Crawley, RH11 7sx.
For just £39.95 a head, you will enjoy an excellent three-course meal plus coffee/tea, short but entertaining speeches and entertainment by Jennie Castell (singer)
Pre-dinner drinks will be served from 6pm, dinner will be served at 7pm and the celebrations will conclude at 11.00-12.00pm.
Dress will be formal—gentlemen – dinner suit or lounge suit and Ladies – something nice.

VE Day Celebration
10 AM - 7 PM
Today, to mark VE Day, members from groups that have supported Burgess Hill Town Council were invited to a lunch in Church Walk.
Our team of Lions help with setting and and running the games in St. John’s Park for the VE Day Celebrations.

APRIL
PUB QUIZ
8.00PM
On April 3rd, we hosted a Pub Quiz at the Woolpack Public House, Howard Ave, Burgess Hill RH15 8TS. Doors opened at 7.15, and the quiz started at 8PM. Teams of 4-6 people were invited to register for the event. A light supper was included in the £5 entry fee. Raffle tickets were also on sale.
