St Peter and St James Hospice
The aroma of freshly made coffee certainly filled the air at The Coffee Shop at South Downs Nurseries on Friday morning 18th October 2013. The event was in aid of St Peter & St James Hospice and General Manager Mark Hillyard was pleased to welcome Carole Hayward, Deputy Lieutenant, and Gordon Marples, Chairman of MSDC, along with many other supporters of this annual event which raised over £400 for this worth while cause.

St Peter and St James Hospice has been in the heart of Mid Sussex since 1975, covering the communities of Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Lewes, Uckfield and surrounding villages. It provides over 200 people and their families a year with specialist palliative care.
Burgess Hill District Lions have supported the St Peter and St James Hospice for many years and the Burgess Hill Bike Ride has had the Hospice as its primary fundraising goal for a long time. Many of the Lions and their families have had to use the services of the hospice and it is a worthy recipient of our support.
