ROAR judging at Woodlands Mead School

There were seven entries, all of a very high standard, and it was a difficult decision as to who should be the overall winner and go forward to the grand final.

Eventually chosen as the winners, ‘The Super Hearos’ team had designed ear defenders for deaf and noise sensitive people.

This was their concept – ‘they tune out the world, turn up the teacher’s voice and keep the classroom chatter crystal clear’.

The other ideas were, solar powered barbecue, hand writing pen, a rubbish bin that says thank you when rubbish is deposited, location app for mobile phone, gym for wheelchair users, wheelchair with rotating wheel to enable users to reach high shelves.

The final takes place on 4th December.
